The Swedish Quality Registry for caries and periodontal disease.
SKaPa is a Swedish Quality Registry for dental health care. The registry has since 2008 gathered dental data concerning more than two million adults and one million children. The data is automatically extracted from the patients electronical dental data records. A vast majority of the public dental health care clinics deliver data on a daily basis. An increasing number of private dental clinics is joining the registry.
Results are published in annual reports and in specially designed reports for research purpose.
The aim of SKaPa is to:
- enable follow-ups on dental treatment and results on national, regional and clinic level.
- enable follow-ups on compliance with national guidelines.
- stimulate registry based research.
- enable patient reported evaluations (PROM, PREM)
The overall aim of SKaPa is to:
- promote high quality of care, patient safety and good oral health.
